Foot Injuries Claim Compensation

£2,350 to £195,000

Minor foot injuries with little impact on lifestyle or day-to-day activities resolving within after 3 months to other more significant but straightforward foot injuries such as fractures, lacerations, contusions etc. from which complete or near complete recovery is made £3,350 to £6,750.

Modest injuries such as fractures, sprains, or puncture wounds, where the injured person has been left with a permanent limp, pain or aching - £6,750 to £13,250.

Displaced metatarsal fractures where there is permanent deformity and continuing symptoms at a moderate level and possibly a risk of long term osteoarthritis and/or future surgery - £13,250 to £24,000.

Serious injuries leading to fusion of foot joints other than the heel, continuing pain from traumatic arthritis, prolonged treatment and an increased risk of future osteoarthritis. Also injuries such as grievous burns to both feet requiring multiple operations and leaving disfiguring scars and persistent irritation - £24,000 to £37,700.

Severe Injuries. Fractures of both heels or feet with a substantial restriction on mobility or considerable and permanent pain. This range will also include unusually severe injury to a single foot to include injuries that result in severe degloving, extensive surgery, heel fusion, osteoporosis, ulceration, or other disability preventing the wearing of ordinary shoes. It will also apply in the case of a drop foot deformity corrected by a brace. £40,350 to £67,500.

Very Severe. Injuries causing permanent and severe pain or permanent disability. Examples would include the traumatic amputation of the forefoot where there was a significant risk of the need for a full amputation and serious exacerbation of an existing back problem. Also loss of a portion of the heel resulting in mobility being very severely restricted - £81,000 to £106,000.

Amputation of one foot - £81,000 to £106,000.

Loss of both feet - £163,000 to £195,000.
