Head Injury - £1,500 to £8,750
The level of damages will depend on the severity of the initial head injury, the recovery time and extent of any continuing symptoms, and the presence or absence of headaches.
Brain Injury/Damage - £10,400 to £280,000
When someone has suffered brain injury/brain damage then the level of damages will be taken into account, including; the extent and severity of the initial injury, duration of any disability and loss of independance, the extent of any personality change and if the injured party has sufferred depression.
Minor brain damage - £10,400 to £29,250.
Moderate brain damage - £29,250 to £150,000.
Moderately severe brain injury - £150,00 to £192,500.
Very severe brain damage - £192,500 to £280,000.
Epilepsy - £7,250 to £102,500
Minor epilepsy - cases where one or two epileptic episodes are caused but there is no increased risk of further recurrence - £7,250 to £18,000.
Established Petit Mal - The level of award wil depend upon whether attacks are successfully controlled by medication and the extend to which the injured party wiil remain dependent upon medication - £37,500 to £90,000.
Established Grand Mal - £67,000 to £102,500.
Psychiatric Illness - £2,750 to £80,000
PTSD - £2,750 to £70,000.
Depression, phobias and other psychiatric injuries - £1,050 to £80,000.
