Foot Injuries - £1,000 to £200,000

Minor foot injury with complete recovery - £1,000 to £4,250.

Modest injuries such as fractures, sprains, or puncture wounds, where the injured person has been left with a permanent limp, pain or aching - £4,500 to £9,500.

Displaced metatarsal fractures where there is permanent deformity and continuing symptoms at a moderate level - £9,500 to £17,000.

Serious injuries leading to fusion of foot joints other than the heel, continuing pain from traumatic arthritis, prolonged treatment and an increased risk of future osteoarthritis. Also injuries such as grievous burns to both feet requiring multiple operations and leaving disfiguring scars and persistent irritation - £17,000 to £26,750.

Injuries causing permanent and severe pain or permanent disability. Examples would include the traumatic amputation of the forefoot where there was a significant risk of the need for a full amputation and serious exacerbation of an existing back problem. Also loss of a portion of the heel resulting in mobility being very severely restricted - £57,500 to £75,000.

Amputation of one foot - £57,500 to £75,000.

Loss of both feet - £115,500 to £138,000.
